“He was immaculate from head to toe.”

I really liked this story because it was a story about how someone thought they did not have a future and when they met Simone inspiring they started believing in themselves. The strong piece in this story was when he told his grandfather that he was not going to take over the family business and that he was going to college instead. Also how the grandfather did not speak to him because of that. I was surprised that he showed up at the graduation.
I can some what relate to this story because when I first started high school I thought I was not going to go to college, but when one day when my aunt told me what college I was going to go I said I don't know. And after that she told me that I needed to go to college because it kind of determined my future and what I was going to do.

“This little white boy said, 'Come, let me see your hands.'”

I wanted to listen to this story because of the title, let me see your hands. Once I read that line I thought it was a story about back then when the whites and blacks were separated. This story was really interesting because of how her reaction was when those white boys asked her to let them see her hands and how she did it any ways. Also listening to this story reminded me about what we are reading an listening to in class.
When she is telling this story you can tell that she thinks that this is funny and that it was back than.
